Automatic Update
To keep the server
completely secure, all hotfixes are required, to stay protected
against known security vulnerabilities. It can be difficult to
stay current, we suggest you let the SecureWebs staff worry about your
hotfixes. This simple effective precaution is very effective in
making sure your server does not fall prey to sabotage. We
use an automated update service running off of our own dedicated
"update server". As a customer of SecureWebs this service is
provided for you at our expense. We don't want to see an
interruption of your server, your success is our success too. We
know of no other hosting company that provides this service - it will
immediate cut the work load of a system administrator to a fraction
of what they must do if they are responding to every security alert
from Microsoft.
Security Auditing
Even though all servers
are audited for security holes before being placed onto our network, new holes are constantly exposed in operating systems by hackers
and security organizations. Other security exposures can occur during
normal administrative work undertaken by the server administrator. Should
you expect SecureWebs will scan a
server every month for any new security holes. The customer (server
administrator) will
receive a report immediately after a completed scan that will detail
security problems as well as walk the customer through ways to fix the
problem. Of course, SecureWebs security engineers are always available to
assist in administering any patches or resolving any security problems.
IIS Lockdown
Win2K servers can
be setup from the start with IIS Lockdown tool from Microsoft.
IIS Lockdown Wizard works by turning off unnecessary features thereby
reducing attack surface available to attackers. This service can
be ordered as a free inclusion in the standard server setup when the
server is first ordered.
Managed Firewall Services
SecureWebs offers Netscreen Technologies Netscreen 5XP Internet
security appliance to meet the needs of our customers. NetScreen-5XP
integrates firewall, virtual private networking (VPN) and traffic
shaping functionality. It features wire-speed Ethernet performance for
remote offices and telecommuters. The NetScreen-5XP enables
enterprises and service providers to deliver secure, cost-effective
Internet connections to remote offices and telecommuters. The
NetScreen-5XP is offered in two versions, the 10- user version
supporting up to 10 users and the Elite, supporting an unrestricted
number of users.

NetScreen 5XP:
NetScreen’s appliances include robust management support, allowing a
network administrator
to securely manage the devices. Since VPN functionality is built in,
all management can be encrypted for truly secure
remote management.

The
NetScreen-5XP supports 2,000 concurrent TCP/IP sessions, 10 active

performance over its two 10Base-T ports.
Our
managed firewall service includes monitoring of the firewall and
response to security events. SecureWebs will monitor all managed
firewalls and provide up to two configuration changes, event
responses, or patch installations per month, totaling less than one
hour of labor after the initial firewall configuration.
Please
note that customers WILL NOT have access to their firewalls for
management purposes when SecureWebs is managing the firewall.
